Michelle Dickey, Soprano 

 

Michelle has been singing  since she was eight years old, when she joined the internationally renowned choir, Les Chanteurs du Lycée (Honorary Choir of Chartres Cathedral in France), where she is still a choir member.  Since a very young age she became the lead soloist and has been responsible for the choral development of her peers.  She studied choral singing under the direction of Neil Taylor, Choirmaster at Sheffield Cathedral, England and has taken voice lessons from Michael Kahl, Choirmaster at Schreiner University in San Antonio Texas, where she was also member of the Concert Choir. 

From 2010 to 2013, she took voice lessons from Eugenia Sutti. She has also studied baroque singing under Nadia Ortega and Martha Molinar.

She has sung in some of the most prestigious cathedrals including Notre Dame de Paris, Basilica di San Marco in Venice, Duomo di Firenze in Florence, Stephansdom Cathedral in Vienna, St Paul’s Cathedral in London, San Vito in Prague and San Mathyas in Budapest. 

In 2013 she participated in the celtic event “Travesía Celta” in the Plaza Condesa and in the Lunario of the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City. That same year she also performed in the FOMA (Forum Mondial des Anciens des lycées français du monde) in the Liechtenstein palace in Vienna.

In January 2014, she gave a concert of voice with organ in the prestigious cultural festival “Festival Alfonso Ortíz Tirado” in Álamos, Sonora, Mexico.

In June 2014, she was invited to perform as a guest artist for the Beatles and Queen Homage  concert at the Auditorio Nacional with the OJUEM (Orquesta Juvenil Eduardo Mata) and flautist Elena Duran.
